How do you get help using chat reference?
Project Evaluation
My project partner
Kayla Ciliberto and I bounced ideas back and forth the day the ethnography project was assigned. The decision was....
Zombie apocalypse!
We scheduled a time to meet up and work on the project. (It was great that I could count count on her to meet up). Before meeting up I think she and I both thought about different ways to show the process of using the chat reference. From there we came up with our question and began chatting. During the process we captured screenshots instead of taking pictures of ourselves so we could show the actual conversation with the librarian. Once our screenshots were captured we moved to creating the powerpoint. [In working together I learned a few tricks on powerpoint --
Kayla Ciliberto was far more computer savvy.] Overall I feel like we both contributed to it!
I think that your project was really cool. It was very creative and definitely stood out. I was just wondering, what made you put zombies in the slideshow? That was a major aspect of the project that stood out to me. Also I like how you wrote on the pictures and used circles and arrows to indicate specific information. Great job in my opinion!

Hey Chanel :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you liked it!
For our project we thought it would be funny to ask a question that the librarian would find odd or silly. We asked for information on the idea of the zombie apocalypse with the somewhat recent cases of "zombies" like the man in Miami who ate a man’s face. My partner for the project is a Psychology major and I'm a Psych minor so we wanted to put a psychology spin on it and try to find information about the process going on in the brain and how that has contributed to the idea that there are zombies roaming around.
I really like your idea of doing the zombie apocalypse. You slide show is very engaging with the pictures. I also did my project on how to use the chat reference and i think that you showed the steps on how to go about using it the right way. The question that i have is how did you do the comment bubbles that made your power point very easy to understand whats going on.
