annotated bibliography

What is an annotated bibliography? Why do you have to write one for this class?

In my understanding of an annotated bibliography it is listing out my sources for the research project and along with listing sources gives me the opportunity to explain each source. This seems like the time to explain the source and more importantly to explain or use the CURRA to explain why I believe the source is reliable or [Credible Unbiased Relevant has References and how it is Accurate].

So why write one for this class? A big part of the class has been to not only search for sources but to be sure that they are reliable sources. Honestly until this class I was familiar with keeping an eye out for sketchy sources but never realized how much I needed to check or review in order to weed out bad information. Also in writing this annotated bibliography it shows that we not only picked resources but that we took the time to read through the various books, articles, and websites. It gives us the chance to point out the connections between the sources and our research questions and arguments. Just because a source may be on the same topic does not mean that it will work with our research questions.

Find at least two credible websites (so, you’ve evaluated them, using our CURRA evaluation criteria) and cite them. Include annotations for each website summarizing the content of the website and how you plan to use it in your research project.

“Ku Klux Klan.” 2012. The History Channel website. Nov 7 2012, 8:53  http://www.history.com/topics/ku-klux-klan.

I chose the history.com website because it covers many aspects of the Ku Klux Klan. In searching through the website I found articles/information on how they began, problems they have caused over the years all kinds of information. I could use this website in my research by giving information on the Ku Klux Klan, their history, and discuss the chaos they have caused and are still causing.

"Top Conditions." What Is Xenophobia and What Are Its Serious Consequences If We Don't Stop               It? N.p., n.d. Web. 02 Nov. 2012. http://www.wellness.com/blogs/sydshahid/2009/what-     is-xenophobia-and-what-are-its-serious-consequences-if-we-dont-stop-it/syed-shahid-           md>.

I believe this is a great resource because it gives information on Xenophobia. I did some research on the author and found that he has an MD and has been working in various fields of medicine for the past 25 years. This source would be very useful for my research in that I wanted to cover Xenophobia but to narrow that down further, I am covering a more specific type of it which is racism and how that ties into being fearful of people.

Facebookistan

Facebookistan

I feel as though I have the right to some amount of privacy on Facebook. They allow users to set their information on private and limit what some websites can gain access too. The podcast (which was ridiculously long) mentioned the problems with privacy changes happening sometimes over night. From personal experience I had set everything on private only to soon realize (after I was being harassed by someone) that my settings were changed without my permission.

This is where my rights and responsibilities come together.

I have the right to privacy and to connect with people that I know but must also take on the responsibilities to constantly check my settings. I am one who has everything I can, set on private. (why share information with strangers?) Another responsibility of mine is that I need to keep in mind that I should not place anything on Facebook, Blogger or any other internet website that I would not want the world to read, hear, or see. As much as I enjoy Facebook I see the many problems that occur. Harassment, bullying, and hate groups happen on here as much as it happens in person and that people have ways to get around privacy setting and gain access to all of my information. My responsibility is to realize what goes on the internet is out there for the world to potentially see.

This ties into the class in that Facebook and Blogger are new and developing ways to get information and to spread information. People are using these things for more than logging daily activities, pictures, and keeping up with friends. People are connecting from all over sharing, ideas, facts, opinions. Keeping that in mind, Facebookistans need to be careful with how they post information, ideas, or facts. One final thing that connects to the class (which I am VERY annoyed by) is that with every click that I make it is added to my filter bubble further narrowing the types of information that is offered to me. Learning about filter bubbles was very interesting but at the same time I feel like I would have been better not knowing about them. I cannot help but think about what all I have missed out on in researching for papers, projects, and even looking at the news.

Wednesday, October 31: Find at least one image that you would use in a presentation about your topic and cite it correctly. Also find an additional resource you’d use in your research project.

"KKK Crawlers November 1922: Members Of The American White Supremecist Movement, The Ku Klux Clan Crawling Out Of A Tunnel After A Meeting. (Photo By Topical Press Agency/Getty Images) -- Image Date: 01/11/1922 -- Image Date: 01/11/1922." (1922): Image Collection. Web. 31 Oct. 2012.

I found this picture to be interesting because the members were hiding in a tunnel for their meeting. So much of what I read was the KKK hiding, secret meetings, when they do appear publicly they hide their faces. Are they fearful of prosecution if caught? Fearful of what will be done to them if other races see them? Or are they just trying to intimidate others?...
______

Additional resource that I found…

So far I have researched through GALILEO & Databases for information. I thought for an additional source it would be interesting to get some information from the point of view of KKK members. (Scary…) But there is actually a website kkk.com. I was curious about the content of the website and in looking through it came across an application to join them, merchandise people can buy and even a section on various articles they had written.

One article was The Coming White Genocide

": The Coming White Genocide." : The Coming White Genocide. N.p., n.d. Web. 02 Nov. 2012. <http://kkk.bz/main/?page_id=570>.

(This is in no way a scholarly article but I thought it would be interesting to show the opinion/point of view of a KKK member.)

A couple quotes from the "article"

“The genocide against our race will take many decades, but the time is steadily becoming short. And this genocide is not based on geography, but race. It is a worldwide phenomena”

“Whites will be faced with crime rates never seen before in history, in some places mass killings, arrests and displacement, will most likely happen. We will be turned into a weak and compliant slave minority. Our people are coming under judgment from God because they refuse to follow his laws on a national scale”

Though this is not a scholarly article it goes along with my research in the possible psychological explanations behind Xenophobia. Is the KKK simply a hate group? Are they expressing their fears through hate, intimidation, and violence? Or are they simply violent crazed whites?
~I had hoped to find an interview but this was as close as I could get to hearing from a Klan member~

Filter Bubble

Filter Bubbles
~What is it? What are the drawbacks? What are the problems for my academic research? Which ones do I experience in my life?

Filter bubbles are a way for websites like Google and Facebook to show in my search results the things they think I may be interested in based on previous searches or things I have clicked on other websites. (Many more websites I’m sure but these are the main ones I’ve noticed these past few days)
The man in the video stated it, “Shows what it thinks we want to see not what we need to see and may not see uncomfortable information”. There are many drawbacks to filter bubbles and his statement was the main one. If this happens on news websites I may be missing out on seeing important current events.

Another drawback of filter bubbles is when it comes to doing research. Based on things that I have previously clicked I may end up missing out on links that give me the information needed in academic research.

I wanted to do a little experiment to see how this works when I search for something and then have my boyfriend search the same thing on a different computer. The results were not as drastically different like the two searches in the video but we still got different results.

rhetorical devices

I had heard of rhetorical devices before but never took the time to purposefully search for them until class Monday. I never realized how often they are used and how I get sucked into them.

One rhetorical device that I noticed being used quite frequently was the appeals to emotion. Though there are many used in everyday commercials and especially during the political debates the appeals to emotion is used A LOT.

The website your logical fallacy explains the appeal to emotion as “to manipulate an emotional response in place of a valid or compelling argument”  (Richardson, Smith & Meaden, 2012)

Richardson, J., Smith , A., & Meaden, S. (2012). [Web log message]. Retrieved from http://yourlogicalfallacyis.com/

*Example one: This was mentioned in class but was one of the first that I thought of. That is the ASPCA commercials where they play sad music and show the sweet little faces of animals in cages or right after being rescued from abusive situations. They show the pictures and then ask for donations. (how can you possibly say no to that!)
*Example two: The starving children in Africa or those few commercials that show the hungry children in our country. They show starving children then ease right into if you give ___ a month you will save __# of children’s lives.
*Example three: During the presidential debate Obama would be asked a question and would begin his answer with a sad story from his past then ease into answering the question. Though that can be quite annoying (whether it be Obama or Romney doing the same thing) it does work in many cases.

Blog Post 10/17

Plagiarism to me is when someone uses someone else’s work without giving them the credit. This could mean using a paragraph without citing it or even a quick phrase. Another type of plagiarism I learned about through the NPR article was that pictures and videos need to be cited as well.

There are a few (new to me) ways people plagiarize that I did not realize had a name until reading the guide on plagiarism from Valdosta. The main one that stood out was metaphor plagiarism. “Metaphors are used either to make an idea clearer or give the reader an analogy that touches the senses or emotions better than a plain description of the object or process. (Barnbaum) The example from the Valdosta guide website was the use of “a large swarm of extremely old stars.” (Barnbaum) This is a way to give the reader something they can imagine to get the point across. It is acceptable to use the phrase as long as it is cited.

In my years of school especially the past few years with an increasing rate of research papers I have been taught that if there is the slightest bit of doubt that we should cite the source.

10/8 Major Discipline

Find your major discipline in GALILEO (or a discipline that you are interested in) and search that subject page for a database you've never worked in before.

I went to GALILEO and searched under Social Sciences and clicked on the Law and Criminology section. From there I read through the various databases for a topic I have never worked in before. I looked under the Supreme Court Collection which took me to http://library.cqpress.com.ts.isil.westga.edu/SCC/  I thought this was really interesting because I have taken an American Criminal Courts class but wanted to learn more about the Supreme Court (well more than the few facts I learned in class). In this site it gives all kinds of information ranging from the history, current court, information on cases, the chronology of it, primary source documents, even gives links to the Supreme Court Encyclopedia.

What do you think of the results you got? What is the difference between searching in a subject specific database and in Discovery (the tool that searches a bunch of databases at once)? When do you think you’d want to use one over the other?

I though the information that I found in the database I searched was good information but is kind of difficult to find exactly what I need. For this particular assignment it was just finding something that looks interesting, but for searching for the research question I keep getting overwhelmed with the search results. I noticed that in researching the subject specific database that it seems to cut out results of subjects that have research that tends to go together.
When looking for articles or books for the research project I prefer using the Discovery tool for searching because it allows me to refine the results to the exact type of information source that I want and also search for specific subjects.

Throughout the semester I have changed my research question quite a few times. In the beginning the general group project was centered on Xenophobia which is an unreasonable fear or hatred of foreigners or strangers or of that which is foreign or strange. More specifically the focus was on discussing racism as a form of Xenophobia. That in itself is far too broad of a topic so to narrow it down further I’m looking at the how the Ku Klux Klan shows (Xenophobia) racism through intimidation, and violence towards African Americans during the Civil Rights Movement.

So my research question as of now is… How did the Ku Klux Klan show Xenophobia towards African Americans during the Civil Rights Movement?

My two interests are criminology and psychology, so in answering my research question I wanted to look at the Ku Klux Klan’s actions in both of those ways. Using the criminology side I can use information from previous classes’ research papers to discuss the crimes the Ku Klux Klan committed. Then use my interest in psychology to give a psychological explanation of Xenophobia. There have been studies that have explained how things going on in the brain cause people to act out in fear.

I wonder in what other ways we show hatred or fear towards others without knowing it?...just a though

What is GALILEO?

What is GALILEO? How does it organize information? What is a database and how does it organize information?

GALILEO stands for Georgia Library Learning Online. GALILEO is basically a giant online library that is available to students here at the University of West Georgia and students all over the state (and is run by the state). I used to think that GALILEO only had journals and articles when actually GALILEO contains articles, e-books, government documents, dissertations, pictures, maps, videos, statistics, archives, and a number of primary resources.

Within GALILEO there are a bunch of databases that are broken down into different subjects similar to the stacks located in a library. Instead of having bookshelves with books GALILEO is different in that the databases are the shelves and the articles are the “books” on them. The same way a library may have a history, nature, education, or science sections, just to name a few, the databases are also broken down into these same topics.
If wanting to find an article on a particular subject you want to go to GALILEO to search for a particular topic within the databases. From there you can read through the different journals and in looking through those find an article.

PSYCHOLOGICAL FOUNDATION OF XENOPHOBIA
APA-- OMOLUABI, P. F. (2011). PSYCHOLOGICAL FOUNDATION OF XENOPHOBIA. IFE Psychologia, 55-73.

MLA-- OMOLUABI, P. F. "Psychological Foundation Of Xenophobia." IFE Psychologia (2011): 55-73. Academic Search Complete. Web. 5 Oct. 2012.

My research question is how people experience xenophobia of other people/races. To narrow that down most of our group decided to give a more specific example, focusing on the KKK and how they showed xenophobia of African Americans during the Civil Rights Movement.
The first article is on Xenophobia and the Psychological Foundation of Xenophobia. This article thoroughly explains what xenophobia is, and how it is a psychological problem. It is not that people are just racists towards others but that there is a psychological reasoning behind it. This information would be very useful in a research project or paper. The article was a little long but one particular section of it stood out to me. It is on page 68 of the article which covers a section on the prevention of xenophobia. They stated that “The onset of xenophobia in an individual cannot be prevented because it is an unconscious and insidious process. The individual does not know when, how, where and why he/she became a xenophobe.” Also in the article it goes though theory after theory explaining different reasons behind it.

Dark side of love

MLA-- Yong, Ed. "Dark Side Of Love." New Scientist 213.2851 (2012): 39-41.Academic Search Complete. Web. 5 Oct. 2012.

The article is talking about the chemical that makes us sociable and can also be the cause of xenophobia. The magazine article explains how the hormone oxytocin [which ironically is also the love hormone or the cuddle chemical] but the same chemical that gives us a warm and fuzzy feeling also makes us feel fear and in turn hate

This article will be great for the research project and for helping with my argument that explains how the KKK was showing hate towards African Americans and other groups. It is not that people are fearful or hateful for no reason but that there are a number of psychological, and chemical reasons for it.

I believe this book will be a great source for the research project. The book covers a range of topics but has a section specifically on racism, Xenophobia, and White Panic. I have decided that for my research question that instead of arguing that the KKK were showing fear of African Americans during the Civil Rights Movement specifically,  but instead explain how they began showing fear of races over the years.

Book Source #2-- The human tradition in the New South by Klotter, James C.

I was only able to look at a few pages in this book, but from what I read I believe will be very useful in connecting Xenophobia and racism (especially towards African Americans). Part of my research question is explaining or arguing that the KKK showed fear of African Americans. A quote from the book stood out to me… “two hundred members of the Original Knights defected from the organization to form the White Knights of the Ku Klux Klan in Mississippi. [The leader of that group] told his followers that he had secret information that African troops planned to invade Mississippi from Cuba.” This source explains another time that the KKK were fearful of the race and not acting out of pure hate.

Monday 9/24

Why is peer-review important?
Having work peer-reviewed can be very important to a researchers work. Scientists or whoever the author of the work is wants to be sure that their information is accurate. What better way to check that than to have peers/colleagues/other scholars to check or peer-review your work to help weed out any wrong information.
--I did read though that even though the work may be peer-reviewed, (maybe by multiple people) that does not mean that the written reviews are correct. Many times when getting work peer reviewed the person that did the review may be completely clueless on how to review someone else’s work (even those that are highly intelligent may not know how to properly review). Along with the potential for errors they one reviewing may also be very biased on a subject giving reviews that attempt to change the work to fit their own views.

What are some ways that I can tell if an article is peer-reviewed or scholarly?
You can tell when an article is peer-reviewed/scholarly because they are usually written by scholars, they show references. And if I am understanding the readings correctly most articles that are scholarly are usually peer-reviewed to get the opinions of colleagues on whether or not the information seems accurate. Another way to tell if a work is scholarly is to look at the terminology that is used. Scholarly work uses more technical words.

When do you want to use peer-reviewed research in your work?
I would imagine that everyone would want to use peer-reviewed research in all work. In doing research though it is still important to double check the facts because even peer-reviewed work can be wrong.
In what ways do I engage in informal and or formal peer-review in my own personal and researching life?
I usually engage in more informal peer-review when doing work. For example, when working on narrowing our research topic for the group project my group kind of bounced ideas off of each other and helped one another in narrowing subjects and giving correction or suggestions. I do not usually use informal peer-review or at least not since my freshman year English classes where we would cover our names up and switch papers to get several peer-reviews and reviews from our professor. I know that in the past peer-review has been both helpful and harmful. Even in my college courses I have been given reviews that were horribly wrong. In both school and the professional work engaging in peer-review should be used as a tool to improve work but to also not completely rely on the reviews.

Monday (9/17)

Scholarly books would be a great source for a research project. They are reliable sources that are written by scholars for scholars or those that are interested in learning more about a subject. The only downside of using this type of source is that it takes a long time to get a book released. I knew this before the class but when I was working on our library ethnography project I realized that when coming up with research topics that I need to keep in mind how long it takes before reliable scholarly works to study from are released.
Popular magazines though are great for gossip, celebrity information, or in my case running or HGTV, they are not really reliable for a research paper. A lot of popular magazines are focused towards certain groups or particular opinions. Popular magazines may be great but probably not the most reliable.
Newspapers are not something that I would use for a research project. Though there are informative, they also give just the basics. Newspapers from what I have learned do go through some form of fact checking in their articles, but not as much as a scholarly work or encyclopedia.
Government documents would be a great source of information for a research project. The example in class was a book about the economy with the year’s information. Government documents would be useful if writing a paper or doing some type of research project. I did some further research on this type of document. I found that Government documents come in the form of books, pamphlets, posters, periodicals, and online databases.
Encyclopedias are another great source of information in doing a research paper or project. They provide accurate information that has gone through fact checking processes over and over again. I did learn in class though that, researchers must be careful to have the latest edition. Even going from one edition to the next, some of the information changes could be drastic.
Scholarly journal articles- Like I mentioned earlier, scholarly works are written by scholars for scholars. The difference being journal articles are usually ten to thirty pages. I find that scholarly journals are easier to get information from because they go into details without having to search through hundreds of pages of information.

*Did you change your research question since Monday? How? (Did you narrow it? Make it broader?)

Since Monday I think I finally realized what I wanted my research question to be. I was having issues before because I had so many ideas that I was having a difficult time forming one question. Monday I knew our topic was Xenophobia and how racism was a form of Xenophobia. I wanted to explain how people show their Xenophobia or in our case how they show their racism. Since racism is such a broad concept, I wanted to give a more specific example. So my research topic is to explain how the KKK showed their fear of African Americans during the Civil Rights Movement. Though their methods were horrible, showing violence and both physical and psychological intimidation, is a way of dealing with fears of African Americans and their fear of that race taking over during the Civil Right Movement.

From there I broke it down to what forms of intimidation did the KKK use to express their fears towards African Americans during the Civil Right Movement?

I then narrowed it to in what ways did the KKK express their fears towards African Americans giving examples of their actions, words, as well as various forms of physical and psychological intimidation.
I decided to go this direction because it is the opposite view that I have studied before. In other classes I have written papers on the KKK and how they are a hate group. I thought it would be interesting to try to see the KKK’s actions from the view of them being fearful.

Resources for my research will probably be news articles, and psychology journals.

*And I still need to look into this further but I actually saw something on the news the other day about a KKK legal fight going on right now.* The issue is unrelated to the Civil Right Movement but shows that they are still an on-going group.

09/10/2012

My group’s research topic is over Xenophobia which is the unreasonable fear or hatred of foreigners or strangers or of that which is strange. From that we want to be more specific or narrower. Instead of all fears or hate we wanted to focus on racism which is a form of xenophobia and the KKK and how they expressed their fears. We chose the Ku Klux Klan who is a group of people who are fearful of African Americans.

So my research question is…
How did or in what ways did the Ku Klux Klan show their xenophobia of African American’s during the Civil Rights Movement?

With a combination of this class and a few of my other Criminology courses I have learned that the Ku Klux Klan and other groups that are hate groups or racists can show their fear of groups or other races in the ways they act. By that I mean though they exhibit hatred in their actions even by means of violence but that they are acting out of fear.
What specific aspect of my topic do I want to research further?
This may seem odd but I am curious about what exactly the Ku Klux Klan did to people. I know of lynch mobs and the burning of crosses in people’s yards but what else did they do? Were their actions all violent? Were the majority of attacks just strictly to put fear in others? (the mental/psychological effects of fear on people can be just as harmful as physical harm) Or were the acts of the KKK meant to physically harm all African Americans?

9/5/2012

My group chose the topic xenophobia which is the fear or hatred of foreigners or strangers or of that which is foreign or strange.
From there we kind of narrowed our topic down to a well-known group that is hateful and hated. We decided on discussing the Ku Klux Klan (KKK) and their involvement in the Civil Rights Movement. (Well more like the problems that they caused during that time period.)

I was thinking that you had us pull topics from news sources because they would be a reliable source to do a research project from. If we could find a news article on it, it also probably meant that our topics were something that we could realistically do a project on unlike the topics discussed in class like the World War II which would be practically impossible to do a detailed project on.

After doing some presearching I find this topic to be interesting [interesting because the things that the Ku Klux Klan did are so insane that it is hard to believe that it really happened. And that they still exist today!!] My group wants to explain the things that the KKK did and maybe even add in a few cases where the KKK are still causing problems in 2012.

3 Stories

Possible topics (I thought it would be interesting to relate them to my major) drug abuse, drug labs, gangs, teen violence/bullying.

 1. http://health.usnews.com/health-news/news/articles/2012/07/26/illegal-bath-salts-mimic-cocaine-in-the-brain-study The news story is from USNews Health section. The article is discussing the drug known as bath-salts and how through a study on the brain they found that they mimic cocaine. [which I learned from the article/story that they are not talking about the bath salts that you can buy to take a bath in.] These type of bath salts are a combination of synthetic stimulants. I am not sure of the exact date of the study but it was posted on July 26, 2012. The study was done at the University of North Carolina. The reason for the study was to see how these drugs affected the brain. (they used mice for the study)

 2. http://douglascountysentinel.com/view/full_story/17103704/article-100-pounds-of-pot-seized-in-I-20-traffic-stop?instance=DShome_news_top This news story is about the Douglas County Felony Interception Narcotics Detection (FIND) Unit. The news story is explaining that an officer (with the help of his police drug dog) found and seized 100 pounds of pot on a traffic stop on I-20. I have recently seen a lot of similar articles on the FIND unit making similar and at times even larger drug seizures. Every time I go home I see at least three find unit cars along I-20. Douglas County, along with a few other counties, are doing their best to stop the drugs that are coming through the state on I-20 which as become a well known drug route.

 3. http://www.wsbtv.com/news/news/local/trial-starts-man-accused-stomping-teen-death-party/nRN8m/ This news story is about the trial beginning for a man that was a part of stomping Bobby Tillman to death. Bobby Tillman was a young teen from my home town. He was at a party when a fight broke out. A group of men that were involved decided that the next male they saw, that they would beat them up. Sadly, Bobby Tillman was the next male. Bobby was stomped/beaten so badly that they actually put a hole in his heart. This happened in November 2010. The news story was covering the capital murder trial for one of the men involved in the killing. The murder trial started Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2012.

Evaluation Criteria Acronym Blog

Our group came up with the acronym TRAP (T)-Trustworthy--It is important to use a website/author that you can trust to be a credible source. Someone who knows the subject(s), It needs to be facts not someone's personal opinions. (R)-References--Can see where an author got there information, as well as to give credit to others work. (A)-Accurate--we want to be sure that information is correct so we do not state wrong information or inaccurate/potentially outdated information. (P)-Point of View--When researching and working on projects you want to consider the point of view of the source. It is important that information is unbiased and coming from someone who isn't trying to sway someone's opinions or sell us something. It is important for their point of view to be only strictly stating facts.

Library Ethnography Assignment (and group evaluation)

How do you get help using chat reference?

Project Evaluation
My project partner Kayla Ciliberto and I bounced ideas back and forth the day the ethnography project was assigned. The decision was....Zombie apocalypse!
We scheduled a time to meet up and work on the project. (It was great that I could count count on her to meet up). Before meeting up I think she and I both thought about different ways to show the process of using the chat reference. From there we came up with our question and began chatting. During the process we captured screenshots instead of taking pictures of ourselves so we could show the actual conversation with the librarian. Once our screenshots were captured we moved to creating the powerpoint. [In working together I learned a few tricks on powerpoint --Kayla Ciliberto was far more computer savvy.] Overall I feel like we both contributed to it!

Blog Post #2

Even after being a student here for several years, there are still a few things about the library space and the services provided that I’m unsure how to do, and things that are available to students. It was not until today’s class that I was aware that items such as music, law books, government documents, laptops, study rooms, VCRs, flip cameras, and even markers were there for checkout. [Because of the construction I avoided the library due to the noise for a while.]

There are a few things I’m confused on/do not know how to do. I’ll be honest; I have yet to check a book out so I suppose that would be my first question. With that, when we check out a book, how many days before it needs to be returned? If we have late fees how do we go about paying them off?

Other things I was not aware of until today were that on most days there are librarians on call to help students in finding books and even offering help in finding articles on the online database.

I’m hoping that in this class I will also learn how to search for a book within the library and learn a little more about searching for articles on Galileo and the other online databases. My hope is that it will help me on my future papers for classes.

About Me :-)

Hey! :-)

~I’m from Douglasville, Ga.
~Criminology major, Psychology minor
~My hope is that after graduation that I will be able to work in animal cruelty prevention
~I am taking this class to learn about research! That and in my major we do A LOT of research papers so I thought this class would be helpful.
~Something I wish I knew more about…there are many things, but mainly I wish I knew more about why people commit crimes. If we knew why people commit crimes, and or what is going on in their minds, that maybe one day we can understand and prevent. [I am such a criminology nerd!]
~A fun fact about me…people at first think I am quiet and shy, so they are shocked to find out that I love boxing! :-)
